When I met Ally and Ryan, they just escaped a snowstorm in Houston to celebrate their friend’s wedding here in Charleston. I immediately connected with them when I found out they were Georgia sports fans and called Atlanta “home” at some point too. In addition, we were both getting married a week apart from each other, so our love for February weddings was mutual. We gushed about The Cedar Room and photo opportunities downtown while brainstorming the dates of their next visit.
When February 5th, 2022, arrived, it was everything and more than we expected. The weather was PERFECT. Sunny, 60s, with a nice chill at night that made for a perfect break from the dance floor. The Cedar Room was glowing with beautiful light, florals, and energy. From wedding party pictures at White Point Gardens to rooftop portraits overlooking the Ravenel Bridge, we were sure to capture all of Ally and Ryan’s favorite Charleston scenes.
One of my favorite elements from the Nichol’s wedding was their cute lounge area with this beautiful greenery wall. Hanging from the wall was a neon sign that said, “Better Together.” That was easily the reoccurring theme of the night (and for their marriage) as Ally’s Dad let everyone know why that was true during his speech. It was also Ally’s response when I asked her if she would wait for Ryan to view their wedding photos together. If you scroll down from here, I think you might just agree too!
Better together.
Wishing Ally + Ryan all the happiness in the world!
Special thanks to all the wonderful vendors who helped create their perfect day!
