I remember Anna Grayson telling me about her vison for her Island House wedding when we met for her and Ben’s engagement session. Oyster shells, luscious pink tones (her favorite), and a beautiful soft Lowcountry feel. While it was one of the last days of February, this wedding sang the beginnings of spring with snapdragon florals and a crisp coolness in the air. When we arrived, Anna Grayson was already glowing in her makeup chair, ready to marry the man of her dreams, again.
Yes! I said “again.” Anna Grayson and Ben eloped the previous year and decided to wait out the pandemic to celebrate. With Ben in the Navy and Anna Grayson studying to be a nurse practitioner, it is safe to say they kept busy throughout the wait.
February 27, 2022, arrived and Mr. and Mrs. Cooper reaffirmed their love for each other in front of friends, family, and the beautiful Stono River. There was a touching tribute to Anna Grayson’s late father, a very special dance with her uncle, and plenty of perfectly executed dip kisses by Ben. The Island House was filled with so much love that day and I hope that the long-anticipated celebration is a memory the Coopers cherish in their hearts forever.
Wishing Anna Grayson + Ben all the happiness in the world!
Special thanks to all the wonderful vendors who helped create their perfect day!
