One of my most treasured photographs is a black-and-white image of my grandparents on their wedding day. They aren't posing for the camera. They're laughing around their reception table, sharing an ordinary moment that became extraordinary simply because someone preserved it. That photograph reminds me that the images we value most aren't always the perfectly posed ones—they're the ones that bring us back to a feeling.

Today, my approach blends elegant tradition with thoughtful artistry. Alongside timeless portraits that will be cherished for generations, I look for the quiet, unscripted moments that reveal the heart of a celebration. I also believe the places we gather become part of our story. Charleston's historic streets, sweeping marshes, and coastal light aren't simply backdrops—they become part of the artwork itself.
