There is never a shortage of beautiful winter days in the Lowcountry, and Kelly and Brian’s wedding was no exception. While there was a slight chill in the air, it just made for a warmer reception. Cafe lights, torches, and a fire pit made for a cozy affair. Their ceremony overlooked a very still Ashley River framed by ancient oak trees. It was truly a breathtaking scene.
Who knew that a bar meeting in Miami and a move to Charlotte would turn into a glorious wedding in Charleston, South Carolina? Kelly and Brian must have as their chemistry was evident to us as we strolled the streets of the Holy City with them to capture engagement portraits. Kelly painted a picture of their big day as she pointed out the blue buildings and shutters she loved. When we arrived on wedding day, Kelly’s vision was complete. There were those blues again, gracefully adorning the greenery and decor of her historic plantation venue.
Kelly and Brian were married at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens on January 8, 2022. Guests snuggled up with blankets and enjoyed a view and the intimate ceremony of the new Mr. and Mrs. Murphy. While the nuptials were beautiful, the portraits that were captured in the romantic gardens might have stolen the show. Words could never do this magical day justice, so you’ll just have to see for yourself!
