“Lover” by Taylor Swift played as Timmiri and Derek twirled and dipped across the floor during their first dance. It was the moment we all have been waiting for since their engagement session last spring, and it’s safe to say that it did not disappoint! The future newlyweds woke up at sunrise the morning of their wedding day to practice one last time. A perfect way to start the beginning of the rest of their lives.
After almost 10 years of dating, Timmiri and Derek tied the knot on September 10, 2021, at Seabrook Island right outside of Charleston. From an emotional letter reading to Timmiri’s sister giving her away at the alter, every single moment tugged on our hearts. Their ocean-side ceremony was followed by cocktail hour and a sunset walk on the beach for portraits. Timmiri had expressed to us the importance of having photos by the water, and along with some perfect weather, we made sure she got them and more! (That stroll on the beach gave us some extra time to practice their dance too.) Later, the newlyweds enjoyed an intimate reception with friends, family, food, and plenty of cake! To round off the night, Timmiri and Derek dazzled their guests with the long-awaited “first dance.” The perfect end to a magical evening.
