Nothing sets the scene of a Charleston wedding like a quaint courtyard and 18th-century manor. From the lush greenery to the floral-adorned fireplaces, Emily and Wyman’s celebration was a statement of Southern elegance. Fill this historic home with an emotional letter exchange, a “first look” with Dad, and the smiles of adorable flower girls and you have yourself a great foundation for a beautiful wedding.
Emily and Wyman were married on March 2, 2024, at The Gadsden House, located in the heart of downtown Charleston, South Carolina. With the threat of rain looming all week, the parting clouds and spring weather were a welcomed gift. Rain or shine, The Gadsden House was the perfect backdrop for the bride and bridesmaids in their timeless pink dresses along with bride and groom portraits on the romantic verandas. A step out of the front gate and we found ourselves strolling the alluring streets of the Holy City. When Emily and Wyman returned from their final portraits, they were welcomed by elated guests, plenty of dancing, and a live band at their intimate courtyard reception. After the cake was cut and the music stopped, the married couple exited through a tunnel of sparklers and hopped in one of Charleston’s ultimate getaway cars: a rickshaw. Guests bid the happy couple farewell and the bow was tied on this beautiful day! Congratulations to Emily and Wyman!
