There is nothing more satisfying than walking into a historical Charleston venue on a beautiful spring day to a couple like Cassie and Travis. Upon arriving at Magnolia Plantation’s Carriage House, Travis was hustling around with excitement making sure every final detail was perfect for his bride. They gave their florist and baker free rein on design, so they had special surprises to enjoy together throughout the day. Their song choices were incredibly personal as Cassie proceeded down the aisle to Star Wars and the couple later shared a first dance to a brilliant Blink 182 acoustic cover. Every detail was a sweet surprise that kept guests smiling.
Travis and Cassie have been together for over 12 years by the time of their wedding. When we asked Travis about their proposal story during their engagement session, he told us that he proposed on New Year’s Day. He didn’t want to go another minute, let alone another year, without Cassie. We could clearly see that love and devotion throughout their wedding day. The way Travis looked at Cassie, consulted, and adored Cassie, was evident. The day was all about them, and the love and mutual respect they shared for each other.
After spending the afternoon getting ready together and taking stunning portraits around the grounds, Cassie and Travis were married on April 20th, 2022, in Charleston, South Carolina. They enjoyed a suave cocktail hour overlooking the Ashley River and later an intimate dinner with family and friends. We stole a few last portraits at sunset before departing at the end of what was an incredible day. We hope you enjoy witnessing this beauty as much as we did!
