To say that Taylor and Will are my good luck charms when it comes to weather is an understatement. After rescheduling their engagement session several times due to rain, I should have learned that less-than-perfect weather wasn’t going to work for them. While Charleston’s weather is often unpredictable, we do know that it’s extremely rare to have the sun shining, tolerable temperatures, AND low humidity all on the same day. Taylor and Will did, and engagement portraits were a success! Fast forward to their rehearsal dinner. A storm came and went, the sun came out, and this couple had a beautiful evening. The wedding arrives and bad weather is once again threatening the day. Simply because they are Taylor and Will, two wonderful people, the first drop of rain didn’t fall until the last family portrait was taken.
Taylor and Will were married downtown Charleston on June 12, 2021, at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church. After mass, they celebrated with family and friends at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant. Every bit of their wedding day was filled with emotion and plenty of happy tears. From Taylor’s “First Looks” with Will and Dad to the cozy atmosphere of the Cotton Docks as a summer storm rolled in, every part of this wedding was perfection. If that isn’t enough to keep scrolling, Taylor and Will escaping into their getaway car in the pouring rain might be the most romantic thing ever! See for yourself!
