“He slows me down and I light the fire”
That is how Timmiri described her and Derek’s relationship during our initial phone call. She proceeded to tell me about their dynamic, life together in North Carolina, and their two pugs, Tater and Tot. Just from our first conversation, I knew they were going to be a super fun couple! Engagement session day came and it did not disappoint! Timmiri was a little firecracker and Derek was her quiet counterpart that knew how to strategically place a clever one-liner. We laughed, we strolled, and inevitably captured fun portraits along the way!
After almost 9 years together, Derek popped the question on a couples trip to the Outerbanks. What began as a photo-op in front of a lighthouse turned into forever as Derek dropped to one knee. Derek and Timmiri will say “I Do” on September 10, 2021, at the Seabrook Island Beach Club. In preparation for the big day, we had them practice some of their dance moves. They nailed “the dip” and told us all about their wedding song and dance lessons. Let the anticipation commence!
Thankfully we have these adorable photos to hold us over while we wait for fall. Congratulations again, Timmiri and Derek! Enjoy this special time together.
