We took engagement photos over two years ago. We had “Wedding 1.0” in May 2020. And finally, after all this time, Ryan and Scott celebrated with friends and family on Sunday, May 2, 2021! These two really knew how to build up the anticipation and their wedding day did not disappoint! I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to spend this extended wedding photography experience with. It has been a wild few years, but we are forever thankful for our silver linings couple, Ryan and Scott.
I met Ryan for the first time in December of 2018. At that time, they were still living in Charleston and Scott was knee-deep in medical school. We then got together for a chilly engagement session the following February and the count down to wedding day began. Little did we know what 2020 had in store. Since our initial meeting, they adopted their pup, Rosie, moved to North Carolina, survived a pandemic, eloped at “Wedding 1.0” all to bring us to this glorious day in May 2021. It has been a whirlwind, but truly reflects Ryan and Scott’s relentless love for each other.
Ryan and Scott were married at St. Luke’s Chapel downtown Charleston followed by a waterfront celebration at Alhambra Hall in Mt. Pleasant. After dreamy courtyard portraits at the church, they arrived at their beautiful cocktail hour overlooking the Charleston Harbor. The excitement was in the air as their friends and family, gleaming with anticipation, greeted them and began to celebrate. It’s official. They came, they gathered, they celebrated! Ryan and Scott are finally married and we can not be more elated! “Wedding 2.0” was an absolute success!
Wishing Ryan + Scott all the happiness in the world!
Special thanks to all the wonderful vendors who helped create their perfect day!
