Welcome to the SVP Family! You are officially a Southern Vintage Bride or Groom and are about to be taken on a hands-free, photographic journey through your wedding planning process. You’ve already gushed about the details over a coffee or cocktail date with Jacqueline, now it’s time to plan your engagement session. From scheduling and location consulting, to the posing crash course itself, Southern Vintage Photography guides you every step of the way. As wedding day approaches, SVP periodically checks in to assure that your portrait list and photography timeline are sycronized with your expectations as well as your planner’s vision.

Show time! We’ve waited all this time and now it is finally here: Wedding day! That friendly face that you have been in touch with throughout the year will arrive ready to go and prepared for anything. We’ll laugh, we’ll cry, and most importantly we will capture precious memories from one of the most important days of your life.
As the evening comes to a close and we say our “goodbyes,” your images will be backed up for safe keeping and immediately begin the post-production process. While you are enjoying your newlywed, honeymoon bliss, we will be carefully cultivating the images for the Lowcountry love story you have been dreaming up for quite some time.
After 4-6 weeks, you will receive one of your favorite emails of all time…. “Your photos are ready!” Pop a bottle of champagne and make it a date as you relive the romance of your wedding day all over again. Cheers!

What is the average investment to work with southern vintage photography?
Our wedding collections average around $5k while our portrait sessions fall around $500.
Frequently Asked Questions
will you travel to my location?
Absolutely! We have a list of pre-selected locations to help our clients choose the perfect portrait spot, but we are open to your ideas as well! Just keep in mind that travel fees may apply to locations outside of the immediate Charleston area.
what happens if might rain during our session?
Charleston weather is extremely unpredictable. After years of watching the radar and doing the rain dance, I keep this possibility in mind every time I schedule portraits. I take a limited amount of sessions each week to keep dates open for weather reschedules. If you are local and the weather isn’t ideal, I always recommend rescheduling when possible! Portraits are an important investment and I want to provide you with the images you have envisioned. If you are visiting from out of town, I always try to schedule portraits towards the beginning of your trip to leave us with some flexibility in the event of inclement weather.
how many images do we receive?
Whether it is weddings or portraits, you can expect anywhere from 50-150 images per hour of coverage. I provide this range because every session is different! Wardrobe changes, travel time, and many other circumstances determine the number of total images in a gallery. (A little secret, I can’t help myself and often fall on the higher side of that range)
I've never had professional photography before. What if i ruin the photos?
That is very hard to do! Taking portraits is an awkward process, and that is totally normal. There is nothing to worry about as you are in good hands with me! I’ll guide you through every step of the way to help you create elegant and genuine images that you will cherish forever. Trust me, you might surprise yourself!
What is it like having you at our wedding?
Our goal is to be present and invisible at the same time. By the time your wedding day comes around, we’ve already had some good laughs together so It should feel like seeing an old friend again! We arrive, exchange hugs, and slowly adopt your friends and family as our own as we float around the day capturing every last detail. We are beyond excited for the two of you, and it will show. There might be laughter, maybe a few tears, and definitely smiles, but without a doubt beautiful portraits!
